Our Vision and Values

Committed
to the Gospel
of Jesus Christ

Our Story

Since the turn of the millennium, Inverness has been one of the fastest growing places in the UK and one of the fastest growing in Europe with the population
growing by 15%.

New communities have popped up in the North, East, South and West of the city.

In September 2015, a group of 12 adults and 4 children began Living Hope with the vision of being a local church which takes the good news of Jesus into the expanding West of Inverness. Since then God has been unbelievably kind to us and slowly but surely we have seen our vision become a reality.

But we don't want to stop there! Our heart is for the whole of the Scottish Highlands, a spiritually needy region almost as big as Belgium. We want to be a church that plants churches 100 miles in every direction from Inverness so that every person living in the Highlands hears about the good news of Jesus.

We'd love you to play a part.

Gospel

Living Hope Church is all about the good news that Jesus came to save us from sin and death. We want to be a church where everything we say and do is shaped by the good news of Jesus' life, death and resurrection.

Grace

The gospel is about God's grace. Jesus didn't come to save us because we are perfect people but because we are imperfect people. At Living Hope we are committed to being real with each other acknowledging that none of us are perfect and that we all need grace. We want to be a church where everyone is welcome.

Community

The gospel forms community. When we trust in Jesus we are adopted into God's family. At Living Hope we are committed to living as a family, people who meaningfully share our lives together. We want to be a church where anyone can find a place to belong.

Mission

The gospel is good news and good news is to be shared. At Living Hope we are committed to sharing the good news of Jesus with people in the West of Inverness and beyond. We want to be known as good news people.
